Introducing the 1/350 scale Yamashiro, a limited-edition production version, featuring crew figures that add movement and elegance to your display! The battleship Yamashiro was completed in 1916 as the second of the Fuso-class battleships, following the Kongo-class. After undergoing numerous performance improvements and modifications, it entered the Pacific War and was sunk in action in October 1944, countering the US invasion of the Philippines. Compared to the Fuso, the Yamashiro's bridge featured a rounded conning tower and more widely spaced struts, as well as a distinctive rangefinder support structure similar to the Haruna battleship. The large 1/350 scale allows for realistic sculpting. Includes pre-cut paper stickers featuring signal flags, naval ensigns, and generals' flags. A sticker with the ship's name is included for display decoration. This product is based on the ship's appearance in 1943 (Showa 18), before the Type 21 radar was installed on the bridge. Decals include aircraft markings and national flags. Includes 353 figure parts (2 types/5 runners total) for officers, sailors, and sailor service uniforms (summer and winter). The parts are unpainted, so you can recreate both summer and winter uniforms with paint.
