Product Introduction

■MICROTUBES X Developing a bass distortion pedal can be a struggle: achieving a punchy, aggressive sound while maintaining sonic pressure. If you seek tightness, you need to reduce the bass to prevent saturation, which often results in a light tone. However, boosting the low frequencies too much can lead to a saturated sound. Microtubes X is the solution to this problem.

First, the input signal is split into two signals by a user-configurable low-pass filter and high-pass filter. The signal that passes through the high-pass filter (mid- to high-frequency only) is distorted by a CMOS circuit, just like other Microtubes pedals. The signal that passes through the low-pass filter (low-frequency only) remains clean and untouched. By mixing the distorted high frequencies with rich harmonics and the clean low frequencies, you can create an aggressive distortion sound while maintaining a thick low end. Even if the strings are in poor condition, the instrument's tone is light, or it's boomy, Microtubes X provides powerful tone control.
