Equipped with the completely redesigned "f-Core DU" driver: The A5000 is equipped with the "f-Core DU" driver, which was developed and designed entirely in-house, including not only the components but also the production equipment. The sound quality was designed based on final's unique evaluation method established during the development of the flagship earphone, the A8000. In addition to the impression of a "transparent sound," where sounds positioned at a distance can be heard clearly, even the finest sounds in the mid-low range can be heard, giving a sense of depth to each and every note. Furthermore, it comes standard with a newly designed 2-pin soft silver-coated cable developed specifically for the A5000. The braided cable is easy to handle and allows you to experience the A5000's sound with even greater clarity.
Results of a New Sound Quality Evaluation Method: The development of the A-series began with the establishment of a new evaluation method based on the analysis of the relationship between sound quality and physical characteristics, and the results have culminated in the A8000. We listen to music recorded at various quality levels and at various volumes. However, conventional evaluation methods generally involve subjective evaluation under fixed conditions such as sound pressure, making it difficult to judge good sound in a way that reflects actual product listening. The A5000 employs a new evaluation method for sound creation that is in line with actual music listening conditions.
6mmφ Dynamic Driver Unit "f-Core DU": To achieve a level of sound quality unheard of in this price range, we established a new base overseas and redesigned all driver components, including the diaphragm, voice coil, magnet, magnetic circuit, and adhesives, as well as the production equipment, to develop the completely new 6mmφ dynamic driver unit "f-Core DU". The driver front housing is made of brass, which is less susceptible to magnetic influence than ordinary aluminum and has a higher specific gravity. To improve the time response performance of the diaphragm, the voice coil uses ultra-fine 30μ CCAW and the movable parts are made as light as possible by assembling them with minimal adhesive. Furthermore, the diaphragm is carefully pressed in small batches, about one-third the usual size, to minimize pressure unevenness and achieve a uniform diaphragm without distortion.
Three-point retention design for superior fit: The A5000 builds upon the optimal housing design established in the B series for IEMs, achieving an even better fit. Whether earphones fit well or not is determined by the amount of pressure they cause. While methods that rely on the resilience of silicone, such as those that claim to be ergonomic and use organic shapes, may seem correct at first glance, they constantly apply pressure to the ear, unknowingly putting strain on the ear and accumulating fatigue. Compared to organic shapes that make contact with the ear over a large surface area, we aimed for a pressure-free fit by limiting the contact area. The A5000 housing provides a stable fit by being held at three points: one point in the ear pocket, one point in the eartip, and one point in the tragus. Therefore, it fits a wide range of ear shapes.
Newly designed 2-pin soft silver-coated cable: The included cable is a newly designed product developed specifically for the A5000. It features 8 braided silver-coated OFC wires, making it soft and easy to handle. The 2-pin connector is a high-precision, in-house developed product, adopting the φ0.78 standard, which is considered to be the most versatile.
Ear hooks to eliminate cable touch noise: Ear hooks are effective in reducing touch noise, dramatically reducing the unpleasant rustling sound (cable touch noise) caused by the cable touching your body while walking. Our conventional ear hooks are slimmer than typical ear hooks, feel less like a foreign object compared to cables containing wires or resin, and are so comfortable you'll forget you're wearing them. This is a type (TYPE B) with a locking mechanism that securely fastens to the cable.
Ear tips made with two types of silicone material: Two types of silicone material with different hardness levels are used for the sound conduit and the part that touches the ear. The sound conduit uses a harder silicone material with grooves to achieve both strength and flexibility. The part that touches the ear uses a softer silicone material to achieve a comfortable fit and high sound isolation. The stem color is gray on one side and red on the other, making it easy to distinguish between left and right even in dimly lit places by slightly lifting the ear tip to check the stem color. Furthermore, the stem colors of adjacent sizes are different (gray stems alternate between dark gray and light gray, red stems alternate between red and pink), making it easier to distinguish between sizes. Five sizes SS/S/M/L/LL are included.
Includes a silicone carrying case: The silicone carrying case allows you to easily store the cable by rolling it up. The earphones themselves are softly secured by a thin, dome-shaped silicone lid.
