Leather:
- SPIDI was born in the most important leather processing area. Tanning in the Chiampo Valley can boast roots in the fifteenth century, when farmers began tanning and selling their own leather.. The beginning of the industrial tanning process can be dated back to the 800s.; By the middle of the twentieth century, the art of tanning had penetrated throughout the valley thanks to the development of electromechanics, and there are now over 700 factories in this industry.
- Almost six hundred years of tradition, innovation and research allow SPIDI to use the best leather from all over the world, wisely processed in this area of northern Italy, where tanning is passed down from generation to generation and where the common goal is to continue to perfect the process of tanning leather, which will then be used in various categories such as automotive, footwear, clothing and much more.. Spidi has capitalized on this amazing know-how to create quality standards for leather used in the motorcycle world.. The proximity to the most important tanning region in the world has allowed us for many years, and still allows us, to select leather and determine all the stages to achieve the highest quality products, exceeding the standards. LEAT+ER is synonymous with high quality and confirms that our leather has been wisely processed in Italy to give our products a unique look, in accordance with our health and safety standards..
