The Official Cosmonaut, which is the base, is a series developed for astronauts and boasts outstanding durability among the Fortis collection. In June 2011, it became official equipment for the 28th/29th ISS mission, and has even been carried by astronauts (click here for news).The sturdy watch case protects the Swiss mechanical movement. The dial and rotating bezel of the limited edition model are inspired by the Blue Impulse's blue and white color-linked aircraft, giving it the same impression as the beautiful T4 Blue Impulse aircraft. The simple and highly visible dial features the Blue Impulse logo at the 9 o'clock position. As on the base model, the triangles on either side of the day-date display are marked with ▲▼ marks to indicate the direction of rotation of the crown when adjusting the date and day of the week. The case's delicate hairline finish and non-reflective sapphire crystal on both sides prevents sunlight from reflecting and allows for instant reading.
