The bridge plate of the M1 was designed by bending a flat piece of stainless steel, but the bridge of the M10 is machined from a block of aluminum, nickel-plated to add strength, and painstakingly polished one by one. We use aluminum of the same quality as that used in airplanes, and by applying plating to aluminum, we have achieved a high level of strength and lightweight design, even though there are very few manufacturers in the United States that are capable of plating aluminum.
