[Easy operation for high-precision Polarie U setup] This set includes the PF-LII Polar Axis Telescope and the PU Polar Axis Arm. It's ideal for situations requiring high precision polar axis setup, such as when shooting with a telephoto lens. By placing Polaris and two nearby stars (a total of three) in the designated positions on the built-in scale, you can easily align the polar axis to within 3 arc minutes of accuracy. (For the Northern Hemisphere. For the Southern Hemisphere, align using the three stars in the Octantus constellation.)
[Information collected on the built-in scale, easy setup while looking through the lens] The built-in scale collects the position information of the stars used for polar axis alignment, eliminating the need for a scale set on the outside of a conventional polar axis telescope. There's no need to read the hour angle scale in dark observing locations. It can be used comfortably while looking through the polar alignment telescope's field of view.
[Dark Field Illumination (with Auto-Off Function)] The built-in dark field illumination (red LED) can be easily turned on with the push of a button. Unlike bright field illumination, which makes the scale appear as a silhouette by brightening the field of view, the scale itself glows red, preventing faint stars from being lost in the background. The brightness is adjustable in 8 levels, so you can use it at your preferred brightness. It also automatically turns off (gradually dims) after 1-2 minutes, preventing you from forgetting to turn it off after use.
[Equipped with Spare 3/8-inch Screw Holes] The included polar alignment telescope arm PU is equipped with two spare 3/8-inch screws. If you are not using the 1/4-3/8-inch conversion screw included with the Polarie U, you can screw it into these screws to prevent it from getting lost.
