Product Introduction

The main wings can be assembled in either the extended or folded position. The folding details are also meticulously recreated. The flaps and elevators can be raised or lowered. The two-piece engine cowl can be removed even after assembly. The main landing gear and tailwheel can be displayed in either parked or flying position. Three markings for US Navy and Marine Corps aircraft are included. One drop tank and one 500-pound bomb, which were installed on the F4U-1A, are included. The spoiler added next to the gun muzzle on the leading edge of the right wing to improve aerodynamic balance are also faithfully reproduced. Seatbelts and other details are reproduced with etched parts. A 12-page B5-sized explanatory guide is included. Crew figures are available in both seated and standing poses.
