TOMIX N Gauge Kiha 81/82 Series Kuroshio Express Add-on Set A (3 Cars) 98312 Diesel Train Model

High Grade (HG) specification. The Kiha 81's roof reproduces the remains of the Joban radio antenna, with only the piping and base. Kiha 81 and 82 feature a pre-printed "Kuroshio" train marking. The head and taillights are equipped with constant-on circuit boards and an ON-OFF switch. The headlights light up in a warm white color, while the train markings are a near-white color. The DMH17H engine under the floor is reproduced as a separate part. (Excluding the Kiha 82 front and motor cars.) The Kiha seats feature blue seats, while the Kilo seats feature crimson seats. The JNR markings for the Kiha 81 and 82 and the Green Car markings for the Kilo 80 are pre-printed. The "Kuroshio" pre-printed train markings for the Kiha 82 are included with other sets and as individual units (add-on sets only). Separate parts such as antennas and signal flares are included. Customizable car numbers are included with a transfer sheet. Features a flywheel-equipped powertrain, a new current collection system, and black wheels. TN couplers (SP) are standard equipment (except for the KiHa 81 front end).

Combine the base set with the 98270 Add-on Set to recreate a 10-car formation with KiHa 81s at both ends. The KiHa 81's front end is equipped with a dummy coupler, and the coupler opening shape on the skirt is modeled after the KiHa 815.
