What is the Oxford Reading Tree (ORT)? This is a "Japanese language" textbook that is used in over 80% of elementary schools in the UK. There are over 200 short stories with humorous "punch lines", all written in the natural English used by native children. The story mainly depicts the daily life of the main character, a boy named Kipper, and his family and friends. Have fun learning English as you experience various stories told by fun characters, including the three naughty brothers Kipper, Biff, and Chip, and their beloved dog Floppy. It is structured so that a limited number of basic verbs and the names of characters appear repeatedly. It is effective to read it between Stage 2 and Stage 3 of the main story.
