Imbuia.Imbuia (Ocotea porosa) is one of the most interesting types of exotic wood, also called Brazil nut. Imbuia grows in the subtropical forests of southern Brazil, where it can reach up to 35 meters in height. Its hallmarks are its beautiful purple flowers and unusual shape – it's not uncommon for two trees to grow side by side, their branches intertwining. Imbuia, like most exotic woods, is characterized by excellent technical parameters: above-average hardness, stability, durability, and moisture resistance. However, what makes Imbuia wood particularly distinctive is its exceptionally original and diverse coloration. The color range extends from beiges, light yellows, and even delicate greens, through shimmering browns, saturated reds, and even deep blacks. Imbuia wood is also characterized by a specific grain pattern, which is intricate, irregular and marked with a different intensity on each element.
