Description:
detects and alerts you immediately where a circuit is open. You can quickly and easily locate short circuits, open connections, broken wires, current leaks, and even trace wires. You may also encounter intermittent circuit problems by flexing wires or connectors and hear a change in the pitch of the receiver allowing you to track the overall or identify the location of the problem. It also shows the direction for the short with its direction indicator, eliminating guesswork. This professional tool will work on all types of circuits with voltages between 6 and 42 volts DC. such as those found in automobiles, trucks, tractors, boats, RVs, etc... With its wide working voltage range
Highlights:
1: Quickly and easily locate short circuits
2: Save your time and increase your income
3: Judge the continuty of the cables or wires.
4: Keep track of cables or wires and diagnose the breaking point
5: Receive the tone signal on the cables or wires (telephone line)
6: Identify the status on the working phone line (clear, ring, busy)
7: Send a single solid tone or a double alternating tone to the object's cables or wires.
Short Cable Locator:
This instrument is designed to identify and trace wires or cables without damaging the insulation. You can also use it in short circuit checking and open circuit loacing and so on. There is a sender and a receiver included in the instrument.
Function:
1: Wire tracing is possible even inside packages, conduits, behind panels, under carpets, upholstery, etc.
2: Easy to use: simply connect the transmitter in series with the circuit or wire under test, (i.e.: instead of a blown fuse, through a connector, in series with an open wire, a lamp socket, etc.), and scan the circuit/wire with the flexible probe tracers to find the trouble spot
3: Operates at DC voltages from 6 to 42 Volts
4: Internally protected against spikes and overloads
5:7" flexible probe allows you to reach wires in congested locations
6: Transmitter and receiver LEDs show open conditions or short circuit
7: Adjustable sensitivity for all tracking situations
8: No wire piercing required, non-contact technology
How is the tube used?
The receiver probe is constructed of coiled steel and can be bent as needed in order to reach wires in elongated or difficult areas. Depending on the characteristics of the circuit and the sensitivity settings, the probe will pick up the signal from the wire in a variety of positions. However, for the best possible range, the receiver probe tip (black cap) should be positioned perpendicular (at 90o) to the wire being tracked and above or below it.
