It is mainly used for amplifiers, effect pedals, stompboxes, etc.
The hat knob has a metal set screw. Fits standard 1/4-inch solid shaft Imperial size pots, fits most American-made amp/pedal equipment, and USA CTS/Fender/Bones/DiMarzio standard pots.
If your potentiometer has a split shaft, make sure you insert the set screw in the correct position.
These knobs are made of bakelite, which is stronger and heavier than plastic.
