A reel specifically designed for smelt fishing with a counter that accurately targets the changing depths of smelt. A shallow spool that eliminates the need for bottom winding.
It comes with approximately 50m of Japanese-made nylon line No. 1, so no need to reel in the line. The counter can measure in 10cm increments.
Equipped with a free/stop switch lever. Also comes standard with a "shelf stop hook" that allows you to lower your rig directly to the desired shelf.
This is a small reel designed specifically for smelt fishing that can be used in any situation, from ice fishing to dome boat fishing.
