Medium Vintage Trinket Boxes, Colonial Mesh Embossed

A small vintage-inspired trinket box with a deep red-brown finish, raised mesh embossing and aged brass fittings, made for the little things that deserve their own place. It brings an old-world mood to a dressing table, shelf or bedside corner, ready for jewellery, keepsakes, notes or a carefully wrapped gift.

What catches the eye

The curved chest shape gives it the feel of a miniature travel trunk, softened by an intentionally aged finish.

The mesh embossing adds texture across the top and front, catching the light against the darker body.

Brass fittings bring a warm, timeworn contrast, with a front clasp that feels decorative as well as practical.

The red-brown sides have a worn, mottled look, so it sits easily with books, candles, crystals or jewellery trays.

It is light enough to move from shelf to dressing table, and small enough for everyday treasures rather than bulky storage.

Aged character and brass detail

The box is made from MDF and finished as a replica antique, with deliberate ageing rather than the uniform polish of a new modern box. The brass fittings add to its vintage-style character, while the embossed mesh pattern gives the surface more depth than a plain painted finish.

For jewellery, tokens and small gifts

Use it as a trinket box for rings, earrings, charms, folded notes or small keepsakes gathered over time. It also works beautifully as a reusable gift box, turning a simple present into something more considered before it is even opened.

How to use and care for it

Keep it indoors in a dry place, away from prolonged damp. Wipe the surface gently with a soft, dry cloth, and avoid harsh cleaners that could disturb the aged finish or brass fittings.

Vintage style, without pretending to be antique

This is a vintage-style decorative box, not a genuine antique. Its colonial-inspired look echoes the charm of old travel trunks and keepsake chests, with metal fittings, rounded sides and a deliberately worn finish. That sense of ag…
