With its distinctive aesthetic design and revolutionary midsole innovations, the Ultra Boost redefined people’s traditional understanding of running shoes. The adidas Ultra Boost 4.0, released in 2017, features a newly updated Primeknit one-piece upper with three-dimensional textured details, enhancing the sock-like fit. Unlike the 3.0 version, the semi-transparent side cages return to a solid-color design; some models replace the original TPU with a ballistic nylon–like material, and feature a matte-finish heel counter for visual harmony. Additionally, perforated ventilation holes are added to the upper to improve wearing comfort.
