Product Introduction
Learning Resources' coding robot, Botly, is here!
You can experience basic coding by programming Botly with the remote programmer.
You can also try programming Botly using the included arms and cards.
Botly is the perfect robot for children's first steps in "programming," which will become mandatory in elementary schools starting in 2020.
Coding, the foundation of programming, is the process of converting information into a form that a computer can understand.
You use coding to tell a computer (in this case, Botly) what you want it to do.
Exposing children to basic programming concepts at an early age is believed to foster children's problem-solving skills and critical thinking, and to support STEM education.
Botly can be used immediately, even without a phone or tablet, and can program up to 80 programs using the remote control.
This is an educational product intended for use by parents and teachers at home or at school.
Requires five AAA batteries (not included).
A Phillips screwdriver is required to install the batteries.
