Penn Rival is designed as a highly versatile all-around reel at an affordable price. It features a lightweight graphite frame and side plates with aluminum frame rings, enhancing rigidity and preventing frame flex. The HT-100 drag washers provide smooth drag performance under heavy loads. The line capacity ring eliminates the guesswork of how much line remains when fighting fish. Saltwater fishing requires different equipment, and Penn has been testing the limits of saltwater fishing since 1932. As a result, their durability is highly trusted.

The ultra-lightweight, versatile Penn Rival Level Wind features forged and machined aluminum spool and line capacity ring. It is equipped with a bronze alloy main gear and a machined brass pinion gear with an auto-engage system. It retrieves line at a speed of 29 inches (74 cm) per turn of the handle. Gear ratio: 5.1:1.

Multi-stop bearing system: Proven shielded 2-ball bearing system controls the heat of battle.

HT-100 star drag system: Carbon fiber washers provide a maximum drag of 15 pounds (6.8 kg). This system wears down fish without damaging them. Right handle position.

Line capacity: Mono capacity yards/pounds: 475/15, 315/20, 290/25. Braid capacity: 865/20, 650/30, 455/50. The line capacity ring removes the guesswork of remaining line when fighting fish.
