16REP features a fine diagonal weave pattern. By making the grooves of the weave deeper than usual, a texture created by shading is expressed on the surface. This is the thickest series of ties in the Y&TAILOR lineup. Three strands of yarn are used for the threads that are visible on the surface to give it volume. Furthermore, the weft threads are used as a backing to increase the overall weave density in order to give it a sense of weight.
A top-quality domestic fabric that the Tango region of Kyoto is proud of. [Fabric weight] [Silk luster] The Tango region, located in the northern part of Kyoto Prefecture and facing the Sea of Japan, has a history of silk weaving for over 1300 years since the Nara period. By making the rotation speed of the loom [rapier loom] as slow as possible, the fabric is woven slowly, preventing the silk threads from becoming thin due to being pulled. Although productivity is reduced, this time-consuming and laborious process results in a plump, high-quality fabric with few knots.
The width of the dimple position has also been made more voluminous than usual to give the dimple a three-dimensional feel. The tie length of 148 cm was also carefully considered. We work directly with domestic silk weavers and necktie factories to produce each tie carefully.

*Depending on the production period, even the same color may differ slightly from previous versions. *Tags, bar tack stitching, lining, etc. may change depending on the production period. *Dry cleaning recommended *If you are concerned about wrinkles, you can care for them with a household steam iron. (Be careful not to let the iron touch the fabric directly and blow steam onto it. Using a handkerchief or similar cloth as a pressing cloth is also effective.)
