Compatible Battery Spectrum: The module fits all lithium batteries comprising 1 to 4 cells in series or parallel with a rated voltage of 3.7V (4.2V when fully charged), including 14500, 18650, 21700, polymer lithium types, and any capacity or size batteries
Model Featuring Smart Button
Includes a smart button. Initially, upon power-up, the number of battery cells is detected; default setting is Mode 0. The display activates after about 1 second, exhibiting the current battery percentage. A brief press (under 3 seconds) of the button turns the power on/off; a prolonged press (over 3 seconds) switches modes to Mode 1. In Mode 1, the display default is off. A short button press (within 3 seconds) reactivates the display, rising from 0% to the actual battery level in roughly 1 second, then it automatically shuts off after a 3-second delay. A long press (>3 seconds) enables mode-switching, returning to Mode 0, repeating the cycle.
Precautions
1. Connect VCC to the battery's positive and GND to the negative end; as indicated on both sides of the board. Aligning the battery meter, left pads show the top as positive and bottom as negative;
2. Ensure power is off during wiring; unintentional contact with backside pins could short-circuit and harm the module. Post-soldering, inspect positive and negative terminations to ensure they don’t touch the battery meter’s backend pin pads before powering on;
3. No reverse polarity protection exists; incorrect connection of terminals will damage the module. Verify polarity before proceeding with wiring;
4. Incompatible with 3.2V lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) or lead-acid batteries. During charging, charger amplification results in an approximately 110% boosted charge level display.
