❓ 1. How to choose the right auger for wood?

• 60mm auger (S060M1) - a very small auger designed for occasional splitting of small logs up to 10-15cm in diameter

• 80mm auger (S080K2) - standard size for typical home use, works very well for splitting logs with a diameter of up to 30cm, we recommend a 3kW motor

• 90mm auger (S090K2) - intermediate size between 80 and 100mm, works well for splitting logs with a diameter of up to 40cm, we recommend a 3-4kW motor

• 100mm auger (S100K2) - the most frequently chosen auger for farms, where there is more wood to split and versatility is required, splits logs with a diameter of up to 50cm and larger very well, we recommend a 3kW motor 4kW or larger

AUGERS WITH REPLACEABLE TIP - TWO-STAGE:

• Auger 80mm + 125mm (S125K2) - consists of an 80mm auger + a 125mm attachment with a different angle, which supports the splitting of the 80mm auger in more difficult types of wood.

• Auger 80mm + 150mm (S150K2) - consists of an 80mm auger + a 150mm attachment with a different angle, it is longer than its predecessor, which makes it even better at splitting more difficult types of wood, measuring tapes.

• Auger 100mm + 170mm (S170K2) - consists of a 100mm auger + an attachment 170mm widening bit with a different angle, which very well supports the work of the 100mm auger with more difficult types of wood, measuring tapes.

Each of the above-mentioned augers can be successfully used with a tractor.

❓ 2. I have an electric motor, which auger will be suitable?

• 2.2kW motor = 60mm auger, or 80mm if the logs are small and split occasionally.

• 3kW motor = 80mm auger will be the best choice for continuous operation.

• 4kW motor = 100mm auger will be the most optimal choice for continuous operation.

• 5kW or more motor = You can use any of our augers up to 170mm.

❓ 3. I have a tractor with PTO drive, which auger should I choose?

You can use any of our augers from the 80 - 170 mm range.

❓ 4. How to choose an auger for the log diameter?

• Logs up to 15 cm = Auger 60 mm or larger

• Logs up to 30 cm = Auger 80 mm or larger

• Logs up to 40 cm = Auger 90 mm or larger

• Logs over 40 cm = Auger 100 mm or larger

Of course, these are recommended diameters, you can use a different size - however, splitting may be less effective.
