[How to wash a futon] ■ Futon side: The shrinkage after washing will make it difficult to put the contents on, so please try not to wash it as much as possible. It will shrink slightly after washing, so you will need to use some force when putting the contents in. Stretching it well in both the vertical and horizontal directions before hanging it out to dry will reduce shrinkage. ■ Mattress: The palm fibers, which are the material for the breathable mat, will break, so please avoid washing it. If it gets dirty, soak a towel or something similar in water and absorb the dirt on just that part. For off-white or light-colored items, use detergent that does not contain fluorescent whitening agents.
